Who We Are
Laredo United TSTA/NEA is a local non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the rights of our professional and educational support professional membership within the school system. Our main priority is to advocate for the education and welfare of all our students.
Why is it important to be a part of Laredo United?
With over 2,700 members strong, Laredo United is faced with the daily task of standing up against the mistreatment of public school employees within both LISD and UISD school districts. When we come together as one, like we did over the summer with our salary protests, we can effect change like a salary increase after a 3-year salary freeze.
Outstanding Legal Representation
Our liability insurance has a maximum of $1,000,000. It’s never been reached. The other organizations have very low limits. Check out the TSTA website links below for more information and legal benefits.
Representing All School Employees
We handle all grievances from Level One to Level Three (before the school board). Many times we just make a call and get things done, avoiding the grievance process all together.
