Early Career Educator Training--Winter Academy in San Antonio


We’ve specifically designed the training around areas of Early Educator needs. These courses qualify for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours. The following four training courses are Site-Based Decision Making, Parental Involvement, Classroom Management, and Resolving and Managing Conflict. We have two sessions: Session One is from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm followed by Session Two from 2:15 pm to 3:45 pm. You may pick any two of the four courses offered.

Itinerary: We travel to San Antonio Friday in a van. We’ll meet at HEB Plus parking lot at 5:30 pm. Go have dinner in SA and check into the hotel. Get a goodnight’s sleep. Check out of hotel Saturday. Training all day Saturday (Agenda below). Dinner as a group. Return to Laredo Saturday.

10:15 AM - 11:30 AM          Introduction to Equity CPE Credit: 1.5 hours

11:30 AM - 12:15 PM          Lunch Member Benefits/Degrees not Debts

12:30 PM - 2:00 PM          Classroom Management (Classroom 3) OR  Parent Engagement (Classroom1) CPE Credit: 1.5 hours

2:15 PM - 3:45 PM           Site-Based Decision Making (Classroom 3) OR   Resolving & Managing Conflict (Classroom 1) CPE Credit: 1.5 hours
